Jarred Morgan
Associate Pastor - Youth

Jarred Allen Morgan was born in Waverly, TN to Jim and Chery Morgan on May 17, 1977. Waverly is a small town in middle Tennessee close to Kentucky Lake, where Jarred’s dad worked as a shift supervisor for TVA and his mom taught elementary school. He has an older brother, Blake, who is married and lives in Murfreesboro, TN. At the age of 10, Jarred felt the drawing of God and became a believer in 1988. It wasn’t until the summer of 1993 that he became a follower and answered the call of God to full time ministry. He knew God’s direction, but he wasn’t sure about what God was calling him to do. Jarred graduated from Waverly Central High School in 1995, and left for Jackson, TN, to attend Union University. It was during this time at Union that he met and fell in love with a young lady from Smyrna, TN. In September of 1998, Jarred asked Jennifer Leigh Drake to marry him and on July 10, 1999, they were married. Soon after their marriage, Jarred felt pulled even more to the ministry so he began classes at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary through satellite classes. A year later they moved to Louisville, KY, in order for him to finish up his classes. After graduating from seminary in 2003, Jarred took a full-time Youth Pastor position at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston, GA. As Jarred taught students in the church, Jennifer taught students at Upson-Lee High School. It was in Georgia that God blessed Jarred and Jennifer with beautiful twin daughters, Meredith Grace and Mikayla Reece. After serving in Georgia for three years, God led them to a new town and a new church family. Jarred and Jennifer have been ministering to the students of East Maryville Baptist Church for a little over a year and they look forward to what God has in store for them in the future.
