Success at East Maryville Baptist Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into small groups. Our desire is that everyone who calls EMBC home will be linked to a small group for spiritual growth, ministry, connection, and fun.
Community at EMBC is at its best when people gather in small groups to live life together. At EMBC , the small group is the best place for sustained life-change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.
At EMBC, Sunday School Ministry on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM is where you get connected with other people like you in a small group environment. You’ll develop friendships, experience authentic, Christ-centered community, and acquire sound biblical encouragement in your faith. We offer classes for every age-group from babies through senior adults.
For more information… Drop by the Welcome Center before the service on Sunday where our Greeter Staff will be available to answer your questions and suggest small group opportunities or email David Frahme Associate Pastor-Administration & Education
Spiritual transformation is God’s work of changing a believer into the likeness of Jesus by creating a new identity in Christ and by empowering a lifelong relationship of love, trust, and obedience to glorify God. Transformational discipleship is our process of developing mature followers of Christ. Every learning opportunity has the goal of helping believers be transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
In the form of Fall and Spring semesters at 5:00 PM on Sunday evenings we offer classes in spiritual development, leadership, parenting, marriage enrichment, and biblical financial management.
Forever Green Fellowship (EMBC Senior Adult Group) meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 AM. A potluck lunch is enjoyed by all after the meeting. Several outings throughout the year are scheduled including an annual trip to Carver's Apple Orchard, trips to Cumberland County Playhouse, and various other attractions in the surrounding areas.
The Gifted are women of East Maryville Baptist Church who have lost their husbands whose purpose is to fill a void in our lives in a meaningful way by helping others. The Gifted meet the second Monday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall of EMBC. They use their talents in making and giving useful items others can use.
