From focused classes at the church to small home based groups, East Maryville offers a number of opportunities to grow in discipleship and service through small group participation.
You will find something that will meet your need where you are right now and programs that will continue to challenge you as you mature in Christ.
Success at East Maryville Baptist Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into small groups. Our desire is that everyone who calls EMBC home will be linked to a small group for spiritual growth, ministry, connection, and fun.
Community at EMBC is at its best when people gather in small groups to live life together. At EMBC , the small group is the best place for sustained life-change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.
At EMBC, Sunday School Ministry on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM is where you get connected with other people like you in a small group environment. You’ll develop friendships, experience authentic, Christ-centered community, and acquire sound biblical encouragement in your faith. We offer classes for every age-group from babies through senior adults.

Spiritual transformation is God’s work of changing a believer into the likeness of Jesus by creating a new identity in Christ and by empowering a lifelong relationship of love, trust, and obedience to glorify God. Transformational discipleship is our process of developing mature followers of Christ. Every learning opportunity has the goal of helping believers be transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
In the form of Fall and Spring semesters at 5:00 PM on Sunday evenings we offer classes in spiritual development, leadership, parenting, marriage enrichment, and biblical financial management.
Grow Groups are bible study and fellowship groups that meet in homes on Sunday evenings during the summer months of June, July, and August.
The goal of the Grow Groups is to help our church families get to know one another better as they eat, fellowship, and review a spiritual topic together in a relaxed and casual environment.
The Women’s Enrichment Ministry of EMBC exists to lead women to:
Equip themselves for spiritual growth
Share the truth of Jesus Christ in our home, workplace, community and world
Serve others in Jesus’ name
Build relationships that reflect Jesus Christ Our Goal:
We believe that as we equip our ladies with the Word of God to become the fragrance of Christ, we will know and better understand our roles as wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.
"The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God." - 1 Corinthians 2: 10b

The Gifted are women of East Maryville Baptist Church who have lost their husbands whose purpose is to fill a void in our lives in a meaningful way by helping others. The Gifted meet the second Monday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall of EMBC. They use their talents in making and giving useful items others can use.
